The Chinese mobile phone company Huawei is collaborating with one of Sierra Leone`s leading mobile phone companies, Africell, to launch their smart phone and mifi internet facility.
The Chinese company is marketing its newest product HUAWEI, the top two android smart phones and top one data brand all over the world.
“In 2014, we shipped 75M PCS smart phone to 185 countries. In 2014, we appeared on Interbrain’s Top 100 Best Global Brands List. In the first half of 2015, we sold 50m PCS smart phone. What does this mean? We are selling 3PCS in one second,” said Eric Loon, Huawei’s country manager, on Friday, at the partnership launch, which also saw Africell’s award of Le50 million and other prizes to its subscribers who had won in the Africell Ramadan Game Show 2015.
Huawei has implemented a world-class product development and quality assurance system, and put into place an industry-leading smart product assembly line. The company has a Global Compliance and Testing Centre in Shanghai and it uses the most advanced technology and rigorous testing benchmarks to push quality standard to the brink.
Huawei’s products’ testing list includes Standby/Wakeup test – 100,000 times; USB port durability (plug and unplug) – 10,000 times; drop and tumble test – 200 times; side button durability (number of presses) – 50,000 times; power button durability (number of presses) – 200,000 times; twist test – 250 times; 25 kg soft pressure test – 2,000 times; low temperature test – 24 hours; two load tests – 70 kg; salt spray test – 8 hours; cyclic damp heat test – 48 hours; and aging test – 12 hours.
Depending on those qualities, the company launched the world’s first affordable smart phone at IFA in Germany in 2006. It has been thinking what the best entry level smart phone is and has now launched the best entry level-Y221.
The product is Y221, with 4.2 Mobile Wifi-E5330.
“With 2M camera, you can take pictures and share them with your friends anytime, anywhere. With Android 4.4, you can communicate with your family, friends by WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. Y221 can make your world more and more smart and smaller,” added Loon.
In 2006, Huawei launched the world’s first plug-and-play USB data card – E220. The company brought revolution to smart life. People can enjoy without limitation. The only thing needed is plug Huawei’s devices.
Mr Loon said that they were partnering with Africell because “Our best choice is Africell and Huawei is the best choice of Africell.”
Huawei products can now be secured at any Africell shop in the country at an affordable cost.
