The Board of Directors of the Company of Mutawifs for African non-Arab Countries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the weekend organised a send-off dinner to mark the end of 1444/2023 Hajj for pilgrims from Subsaharan African countries.
The event, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was also attended by Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of non-Arab African countries in Saudi Arabia whose pilgrims participated in this year's Hajj.

In his statement, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company of Mutawifs, Dr. Ahmed bin Abbas Sindi commended the envoys for attending the ceremony and congratulated them for the orderly participation of their pilgrims in this year's Hajj, which he described as highly successful.
While addressing the pilgrims, Dr. Ahmed bin Abbas Sindi said "We celebrate your presence on the occasion of the success of the Hajj season (1444) in which we reached unprecedented achievements. Thanks to Allah and thanks to you and the employees of the Company of Mutawifs for the pilgrims from non-Arab African countries,” he said.

He concluded by assuring that the Company is always proud to serve the pilgrims from Subsaharan Africa, "...as we do our best to ensure the comfort of our pilgrims throughout their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

The Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh, and his counterparts from Guinea, Senegal, Mali, Ghana, Kenya, and the other African countries were each awarded a copy of the Holy Qur’an that was nicely decorated with the garment of the Al-Kaa'ba.
