Police at the Blama police station are investigating one Foday Momoh, the speaker of Njala village in the small Bo chiefdom, Kenema district for an alleged disappearance of one Abu Kabba of the same village after both of them went on a hunting expedition.
According to sources, the suspect in question, Momoh returned alone to the village on Friday the 7th of January 2022 after he had gone with Kabba on the previous day to hunt.
The matter was later reported at the Blama police station for investigation after the villagers noticed the disappearance of Kabba, and Momoh whom he had gone out with, could not say anything clear of his whereabouts.
When contacted, the Crime Officer attached to the Blama police station Assistant Superintendent of Police, James P Dauda through a telephone interview, he could not say much other than that the matter is still under investigation. But he confirmed that the suspect is under their custody for further investigation and that more people could be brought in for questioning in relation to the matter.
Sources say this is not the first time that such an incident has happened in Small Bo chiefdom, and recalled between 2016 and 2017, when a town crier that was resident in Blama town Kemoh Lahai also went missing and was never found. They said nothing was done to solve the mystery of the missing man. Their fair is that a similar thing could happen to Kabba since he is still yet to be found after days of his disappearance.
