Souferior Soufian Kargbo aka the African Prince has released his new hit single tiled Labo Labo. Souferior has in his credit a popular track, Pull Na Do which won him an award at the SLMTV Awards in 2011. In this interview with Politico, he explains the reason for the Labo Labo track.
Politico: Why did you come up with a track titled Labo Labo?
Souferior: I’ve recently been the subject of a lot of conversation. So many people are talking about me. A lot of it is positive, and quite a bit is gossip. So the song Labo Labo which means talkativeness, came about as a result of all the conversations going on about me including those who bitch about me.
Politico: Is this track part of your upcoming album
Souferior: Yes it is. It will be part of my album titled “Greatness”.
Politico: It has been sampled in town by Free Radio, how would you popularize it
Souferior: Well, my intention is never to popularize a song. I make music that I feel from the heart, and if the fans love it they automatically gravitate towards it. What I do however is make sure the fans get to hear the songs to make that choice. For that I rely on my team, the DJ’s, promoters and social and broadcast media to accomplish that objective.
Politico: Are we going to see the video to this track
Souferior: Perhaps that decision has not been made yet. But you will see some videos real soon for my new project “Greatness”.
Politico: Your fans did not see you during the December period, what held you back
Souferior: I originally intended to come, but I had to attend to a series of business meetings to finalise international distribution for the new album. The people will see me though. I will be there in April.
Politico: Where can people get the new track
Souferior: You can get the track on Soundcloud, and in a few weeks on iTunes. You can also get it at www.affablemusic.com.
