Sierra Leone recorded 0.83% and 0.11% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).

In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was higher compared to Burkina Faso (0.34%), Cape Verde (0.59%), Ivory Coast (0.80%), Ghana (0.60%), Liberia (0.30%), Mali (0.31%), Nigeria (0.80%), Africa (0.51%), North America (0.55%), Asia (0.61%) and the world (0.75%). However, percentage increase in total cases in Gambia (1.89%), Guinea (1.25%), Guinea-Bissau (1.80%), Senegal (1.07%), Togo (3.15%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.91%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.07%), Europe (0.93%) and South America (1.04%) was higher compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.

Senegal (3.19%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (2.16%), Cape Verde (0.69%), Gambia (2.08%), Ghana (0.34%), Guinea (1.15%), Guinea-Bissau (2.13%), Nigeria (1.24%), Togo (1.23%), MRU (0.23%), ECOWAS (1.26%), Africa (0.79%), Europe (0.97%), North America (1.12%), South America (0.89%), Asia (0.62%) and the world (0.94%). Benin, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.

Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.97%), Cape Verde (0.39%), Ivory Coast (1.48%), Gambia (1.94%), Ghana (0.93%), Guinea-Bissau (0.90%), Liberia (1.45%), Mali (0.68%), Nigeria (1.17%), Senegal (1.70%), Togo (2.33%), MRU (1.00%), ECOWAS (1.08%), Africa (0.84%), Europe (1.39%), North America (1.13%), South America (1.21%), Asia (0.55%), and the world (1.05%). percentage increase in total recoveries was lower in Guinea (0.09%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
