Magistrate Abdulai Sheriff of the Pademba Road Magistrate’s Court No 3 has remanded one Yusuf Turay alias ‘‘Ceford’’ who appeared before him on a two count charge of allegedly “conspiring with other persons unknown” to steal goods worth over seven hundred million Leones in February this year.
Police prosecutor Moses Moore told the court that the accused stole the following: “1 red GMC Jeep with registration number ANO 447 valued at $15,000, equivalent to Le150m; 1 (55) inches Hyundai Plasma television valued at four million five thousand Leones; 1 (50) inches black Samsung Plasma TV valued at four million, five thousand Leones; fifty assorted gold and silver necklaces all valued at $50,000, equivalent to five hundred million Leones; 8 assorted gold and silver wrist watches valued at one hundred and fifty million Leones; 1 steam electronics Iron valued at five hundred and fifty thousand Leones; and 1 Apple Computer Laptop valued at thirty five million Leones” from one Isatu Isha Sillah.
The accused made his third appearance on Friday 17th with no lawyer and the case was adjourned for five days.
