Kao’s new dissing song

Boss LA and Kao: This peace does not seem to be working

King of Freetown, Amara Denis Turay (Kao Denero) has just released a track single titled: ‘Boss of the Bosses’ where he continues to claim supremacy.

This single comes about after pictures of his rival Boss LA and US rapper Cassidy were posted in a music feature. Some people close to Kao and LA’s elder brother,Ismailla (who is the actual financier of RFM) claim that Ismaila had sent a message to Kao informing him about LAJ featuring Cassidy.

An argument and counter argument ensue between the two. Not too long, a notice emerges from Kaostating that he would release a new single.

Seeing the track as a disssong, a trade excellent of Kao, he says he will continue to stand strong in the rap game a reason he is causing other rap artistes to spend huge sums just to feature other people.

He also explains in the song that he continues to drop more hits and his crew (Black Leo) hasseen more troubles. He bluffs that if anybody wants to pay him to feature in their songs him, “it’s no problem”.

In the song, he states that in the rap game DJs have also started rapping and that people should go away with their only dress. This area is probably seen as a dissagainst LAJ who is usually seen in a white and red dress and also Basseem Ayoubalias Mr. B of Free Radio, who raps as a DJ.

The free-to-down-load song is up on soundcloud.com. since it was uploaded on Saturday, 500 downloads a rerecorded to have taken place.

One would have thought that LAJ would reply with a song but rather he posted the following on his Facebook wall: “I had gave [sic] my word to d president of Sierra Leone and to all Sierra Leoneans dat I will never diss no artist; will never release a song dat will lead fans to argue and fight demself...don't Need to diss any artist 4 attention; good music all day....so as a peace ambassador I will playmy part to increase d peace and take Salonemusic to another level...red album coming soon expect big colabos...ambassador la d pa.”

Asked whether hethought it was him [Kao] referred to in his new single, Mr. B of Free Radio, himself a rapper completely opposed to Kao’s mien, says “yes of course...whoelse is a DJ that raps”.

However, Mr. Bhas refused to comment further on his rap. Meanwhile, some people who spoke to Politico about the new single have expressed pessimism about the peace the rap industry was enjoying at the moment. They were even surprised that Kao, being an Ambassador of Peace crowned at State House, could do anything that may culminate into beefing.

Another artist, Souferior Soufian Kargbo, has also released a new single titled: “C Meon the Mic”. He tries to relate that rap is not about fighting, and that success can’t be achieved without criticism.

Some rap artistes contacted on this issue have refused to comment whether Kao has breached the no-beef-song pledge they took in front of the President.

Kao Denero and Boss LAJ were embroiled in some violent gang attacks late last year and when the cessation of hostilities subsided, President Ernest Koroma paired the two and brokered a peace that is almost now at the brink of collapse.
