FC Johansen coach John Keister has denied assaulting journalist Thomas Dixon. Dixon who is editor of Salone Times newspaper and who also presents a weekly program titled News File on Kalleone Radio is alleging that he was attacked at his King Williams Street residence by coach Keister who was accompanied by one Daniel Sillah.

But Keister told Politico in a interview that "what I can say is that all they are saying is not true...it's a big lie"

Sport Minister Paul Kamara and SLFA president Isha Johansen will face the Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Sport today at parliament building, Tower Hill as MPs make a second attempt to end the squabbling between the minister and the Football Association.

A law firm in Freetown, Tejan Cole, Yillah & Bangura has instructed the Sierra Leone Football Association to pay the sum of Le44,800,000 (Forty-Four million eight hundred thousand Leones) owed to two medical practitioners within 72 hours or be dragged to court to recover the money.

The Sierra Leone Football Association has publicly condemned theMinistry of Sports for traveling Cameroun withan "unauthorized delegation and unqualified to coaches to train and manage a national team."

Three SLFA Executive Committee members who were suspended from all sporting activities over match-fixing allegations have demanded the immediate withdrawal of the letter and an apology from the SLFA.

The Executive Committee members called for the "revocation of the illegal and unlawful suspension within 72 hours and an unqualified and unconditional apology for the embarrassment and inconvenience suffered as a result of this illegal and malicious act".

The long awaited response from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) regarding persistent calls for it to hold its Ordinary Congress came with an announcement that the congress would finally be held on  29-30 January 2015.

The Ordinary Congress of the FA has now been dubbed Annual General Meeting by the Secretary General in a correspondence addressed to its members on August 19^th 2014.

The national Under 19 Cricket team was not allowed to participate in the ICC U-19 World Cup by the host country, Zambia due to the current Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone. The tournament has already commenced.

The president of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) Francis Trevor Samura described the situation as unfortunate "especially after we had undergone medical test from Ministry of Health and Sanitation".
