Hotel drags Sierra Leone FA to court for unpaid WAFU bill

The owner of Dohas Hotel, Saleh Yahya, has taken the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to court over unpaid hotel bill. The hotel hosted players and officials during the WAFU Women’s tournament in Bo in February this year.

The tournament saw eight teams across the sub region take part; four of those teams: Sierra Leone, Cape Verde, Senegal and Guinea were hosted at the hotel.

Sierra Leone's Real Mack signs deal with Seedorf Soccerlink Academy

Sierra Leone’s division one side, Real Mack Football Club, has signed a five year partnership deal with Seedorf Soccerlink Academy and Agency, the club announced on Monday. The signing ceremony was done virtually between the Chief Executive of Real Mack and the management of the Soccerlink.

Kamboi Eagles get new team bus

Kamboi Eagles have received a new team bus on Saturday in Kenema. The bus was donated to the team by Chief Minister Professor David Francis, who hails from the district.

Team officials say the bus will play a key role in alleviating the transportation expenditure on it.

Ali-el-Ali (Aliloma), team manager of Eagles, told Politico in an interview that "this will help us greatly in terms of expenditure on transportation, especially for away games."

Sierra Leone FA makes mass recruitment for national teams

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has appointed 48 people in different technical positions for all levels of the country's national teams. Coaches and other staff were appointed for different categories of the male and female national sides.
Secretary General of the FA, Christopher Kamara said these appointments were in line with an agreed structure designed to set up the national teams for success in the future.

The Team Manager for Premier League giants, Kamboi Eagles, Ali El-Ali (Aliloma) has told Politico that they are ready to represent the country in the forthcoming CAF competitions.

Aliloma said they know by the virtue of their position in the league that they are already qualified to play on the continent next season.

20-year-old Sierra Leonean leads club to promotion in Italy

Twenty-year old Sierra Leonean star, Augustus Kargbo, led Reggio Audace to promotion to Seria B last Wednesday after a 21 year wait. His header was enough to win the Seria C against opponents, Bari and get his club automatically promoted.

Kargbo’s header was his tenth goal of the season in twenty four appearances.

Speaking to the UK based website, Football Sierra Leone.net, Kargbo said his success this season is down to support from the coaching staff.
