She said the food items that include vegetable oil, flour, rice, fish, beans, milk, tea, salt, pasta and sugar came at the right time in the the Holy month of Ramadam, wherein muslims are performing one of the five pillars of Islam.
The Minister said the donation is one of the benefits of President Bio’s visit to the UAE just after he was elected into office.
She said the goodwill gesture shows that Sierra Leone’s bilateral relationship with UAE is gaining more strength, adding that President Bio was travelling to strengthen Sierra Leone’s relationship with the rest of the world.
She noted that even though the donated food items will not be enough for all Sierra Leoneans, those identified will get access to them.
