He made the call at an event held in Bo last weekend to welcome from sick leave the party’s Southern Region Chairman who is also the Minister of Energy Alhaji Kanja Sesay.

Dr. Bundu said that the minister has played a key role in the peace and development of the party, saying that the crowds that came out to welcome him was a testament to his commitment and loyalty to the party and therefore entreated others to emulate the same.

Speaking at the event, Foday Rado Yokie former Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources said that Minister Sesay is a People’s person who has done extremely well for the SLPP and deserved to be recognised and appreciated by his people.

Fatmata Sawanneh, former Women’s Leader of the party also called on party members who are still aggrieved after the party's convention in Bo to continue to believe in the vision of President Julius Maad Bio and support him in the 2023 elections so he could be reelected.

Member of Parliament, Bashiru Sidikie intimated that  Sesay is all set to mobilize people for the campaign. He used the occasion to explain to the people of Bo about the Public Elections Bill that is currently before Parliament, noting that some people were misinforming Sierra Leoneans about the content of the bill.

In his short statement, Sesay thanked the organisers of his welcoming and the expression of love demonstrated by the people of Bo.

He said that the party’s winning and the reelection of President Bio as President of Sierra Leone come 2023 is his focus. He noted the concerns of the various speakers.

The minister  was taken around the principal streets of Bo in a motorcade starting from Bo Checkpoint to the party's Regional office at Fenton Road.
