Sierra Leone recorded 0.13% and 0.28% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.07%), Cape Verde (2.74%), Ivory Coast (0.40%), Gambia (0.16%), Ghana (0.37%), Liberia (1.65%), Mali (1.60%), Nigeria (0.37%), Senegal (0.26%), Togo (1.94%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.30%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.86%), Europe (8.15%), North America (2.37%), South America (1.45%), Asia (1.97%) and World (3.12%). Benin, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total cases.
Burkina Faso (3.08%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Ivory Coast (0.83%), Ghana (0.64%), Mali (0.76%), Nigeria (0.27%), Senegal (0.31%), Togo (1.92%), MRU (0.29%), ECOWAS (0.40%), Africa (1.68%), Europe (2.00%), North America (0.84%), South America (1.02%), Asia (1.85%) and the World (1.37%). Benin, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (8.42%), Cape Verde (5.99%), Ivory Coast (0.56%), Ghana (0.39%), Mali (1.68%), Nigeria (0.67%), Senegal (1.66%), Togo (1.39%), MRU (0.35%), ECOWAS (0.89%), Africa (1.69%), Europe (3.42%), North America (2.36%), South America (2.00%), Asia (2.65%) and the World (2.46%). Increase in recoveries in Niger (0.09%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
