Sierra Leone recorded 0.73% and 0.78% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.71%), Cape Verde (3.99%), Mali (0.99%), Togo (1.23%), Africa (1.14%), Europe (3.41%), North America (1.49%), South America (1.67%), Asia (2.51%) and the World (2.10%). However increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.65%), Gambia (0.37%), Ghana (0.15%), Guinea (0.42%), Liberia (0.07%), Niger (0.08%), Nigeria (0.59%), Senegal (0.30%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.56%) and the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.55%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Guinea-Bissau recorded zero increase in total cases.
Togo (7.32%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (1.85%), Nigeria (0.09%), Senegal (0.33%), ECOWAS (0.23%), Africa (0.95%), Europe (0.62%), North America (0.97%), South America (1.39%), Asia (1.99%) and the World (1.18%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.88%), Cape Verde (3.00%), Ivory Coast (1.01%), Gambia (1.14%), Mali (0.84%), Nigeria (1.27%), Senegal (1.64%), Togo (1.16%), ECOWAS (0.89%), Africa (1.60%), Europe (1.35%), North America (1.85%), South America (1.79%), Asia (2.79%) and the World (2.09%). Increase in total recoveries in Benin (0.31%), Ghana (0.26%), Guinea (0.15%), Liberia (0.16%) and MRU (0.70%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Guinea-Bissau and Niger recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
