Sierra Leone recorded 0.96% increase in COVID-19 infections, from January 15-22, 2022.
Percentage increase in COVID-19 infections over the period was lower in Sierra Leone compared to Benin (1.05%), Burkina Faso (2.32%), Cape Verde (2.59%), Ivory Coast (1.42%), Gambia (4.05%), Ghana (1.42%), Guinea (1.47%), Guinea-Bissau (3.58%), Liberia (1.22%), Mali (5.18%), Niger (1.87%), Senegal (2.43%), Togo (1.43%), the Manor River Union or MRU (1.39%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.55%), Africa (2.55%), Europe (8.84%), North America (7.61%), South America (5.84%), Asia (4.87%) and the world (6.97%). On the other hand, percentage increase in total infections was lower in Nigeria (0.63%) compared to Sierra Leone.
Burkina Faso (4.13%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Benin (0.62%), Cape Verde (3.79%), Ivory Coast (3.07%), Gambia (0.87%), Ghana (1.57%), Guinea (0.99%), Guinea-Bissau (2.00%), Liberia (0.35%), Mali (3.07%), Niger (2.79%), Nigeria (1.03%), Senegal (0.89%), Togo (1.92%), MRU (1.79%), ECOWAS (1.59%), Africa (1.06%), Europe (1.88%), North America (1.47%), South America (0.47%), Asia (0.62%) and the world (0.99%). Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Mali (10.92%) recorded the highest percentage increase in recoveries compared to Benin (1.89%), Burkina Faso (6.68%), Cape Verde (6.41%), Ivory Coast (5.75%), Gambia (3.17%), Ghana (4.84%), Guinea (0.82%), Guinea-Bissau (1.01%), Liberia (0.35%), Niger (2.83%), Nigeria (1.08%), Senegal (2.83%) Togo (5.71%), MRU (3.89%), ECOWAS (3.51%), Africa (2.68%), Europe (5.79%), North America (3.41%), South America (3.31%), Asia (3.43%) and the world (4.26%). Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
