Sierra Leone recorded 0.26% and 0.57% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.88%), Cape Verde (3.64%), Ghana (0.42%), Guinea (1.37%), Guinea-Bissau (0.59%), Liberia (0.29%), Mali (0.86%), Nigeria (0.59%), Senegal (0.42%), Togo (2.17%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.61%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.68%), Africa (1.99%), Europe (5.99%), North America (2.01%), South America (1.42%), Asia (2.17%) and World (2.60%). However, increase in total cases in Ivory Coast (0.24%) and Niger (0.17%) were lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Gambia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Cape Verde (6.10%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Nigeria (0.54%), Senegal (0.63%), ECOWAS (0.48%), Africa (1.61%), Europe (1.19%), North America (0.74%), South America (1.06%), Asia (2.05%) and the World (1.21%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo and MRU recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (4.89%), Cape Verde (3.04%), Guinea-Bissau (2.02%), Mali (0.98%), Nigeria (8.40%), Senegal (1.17%), Togo (2.73%), ECOWAS (3.12%), Africa (1.76%), Europe (2.12%), North America (2.04%), South America (1.90%), Asia (2.93%) and the World (2.32%). Increase in recoveries in Ivory Coast (0.38%), Ghana (0.29%), Niger (0.07%), Liberia (0.55%), Nigeria (0.18%) and MRU (0.30%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Gambia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
