Sierra Leone recorded 0.25% and 0.08% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (1.11%), Burkina Faso (0.68%), Cape Verde (1.63%), Ivory Coast (0.27%), Guinea (0.71%), Liberia (1.06%), Mali (2.15%), Niger (1.14%), Nigeria (0.59%), Togo (2.19%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.45%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.52%), Africa (1.45%), Europe (3.62%), North America (2.64%), South America (1.10%), Asia (1.37%) and World (2.21%). However, increase in total cases was lower in Ghana (0.16%), Guinea-Bissau (0.08%) and Senegal (0.14%) compared to Sierra Leone. Gambia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Europe (3.42%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (0.97%), Ivory Coast (0.78%), Togo (3.28%), MRU (0.28%), ECOWAS (0.14%), Africa (1.67%), North America (1.21%), South America (0.85%), Asia (1.32%) and the World (1.71%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.73%), Cape Verde (1.04%), Ivory Coast (0.24%), Gambia (0.14%), Ghana (0.17%), Guinea (3.72%), Guinea-Bissau (1.37%), Liberia (0.76%), Mali (0.61%), Niger (0.09%), Nigeria (0.48%), Senegal (0.08%),Togo (5.43%), MRU (1.37%), ECOWAS (0.61%), Africa (1.72%), Europe (6.01%), North America (1.99%), South America (1.13%), Asia (1.92%) and the World (2.30%). Benin recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
