Sierra Leone recorded 0.29% and 0.05% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (17.60%), Cape Verde (0.88%), Ivory Coast (0.40%), Ghana (0.52%), Guinea (0.44%), Mali (3.31%), Niger (7.50%), Nigeria (1.71%), Senegal (1.50%), Togo (2.00%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.39%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.42%), Africa (1.94%), Europe (2.68%), North America (3.77%), South America (1.27%), Asia (1.60%) and World (2.42%). Increase in total cases was lower in Gambia (0.08%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Mali (8.65%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (2.90%), Ghana (0.31%), Guinea (1.27%), Niger (2.50%), Nigeria (0.59%), Senegal (1.45%), MRU (0.27%), ECOWAS (1.15%), Africa (1.76%), Europe (2.46%), North America (1.60%), South America (0.86%), Asia (1.36%) and the World (1.65%). Benin, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (5.30%), Cape Verde (1.30%), Ivory Coast (0.40%), Ghana (0.47%), Guinea (0.69%), Mali (2.63%), Niger (1.97%), Nigeria (0.90%), Senegal (0.90%), Togo (2.23%), MRU (0.46%), ECOWAS (0.27%), Africa (1.50%), Europe (4.09%), North America (3.68%), South America (1.06%), Asia (4.41%) and the World (3.35%). Gambia (0.05%) recorded the same increase in total recoveries as Sierra Leone. Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
