Sierra Leone recorded 0.16%, 1.35% and 0.16% increase in COVID-19 total cases, total deaths and total recoveries respectively in 48 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases is lower than Burkina Faso(3.17%), Cape Verde (0.63%), Ivory Coast (0.33%), Ghana (0.22%), Guinea (0.55%), Mali (3.29%), Niger (3.95%), Nigeria (2.08%), Senegal (1.37%), Togo (1.62%), Manor River Union or MRU (0.38%), Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.15%), Africa (1.66%), Europe (2.45%), North America (2.86%), South America (1.28%), Asia (5.72%) and the World (3.18%). However, increase in total cases in Gambia (0.08%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Secondly, Sierra Leone’s increase in total deaths was lower compared to Mali (2.21%), Togo (1.54%), Africa (1.44%), Europe (2.56%), North America (1.79%) and the World (1.61%). However, Cape Verde (0.92%), Niger (1.27%), Nigeria (0.51%), Senegal (1.17%), MRU (0.27%), ECOWAS (0.61%), South America (0.73%) and Asia (1.01%) recorded lower increase in total deaths compared to Sierra Leone. Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (1.82%), Cape Verde (1.25%), Ivory Coast (0.27%), Gambia (0.39%), Ghana (0.18%), Guinea (0.62%), Mali (2.40%), Niger (2.26%), Nigeria (0.74%), Senegal (0.70%), Togo (1.00%), MRU (0.38%), ECOWAS (0.58%), Africa (1.34%), Europe (3.78%), North America (2.82%), South America (0.88%), Asia (5.60%) and the World (3.42%). Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
