Sierra Leone recorded 0.51% and 0.33% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (1.31%), Burkina Faso (0.74%), Cape Verde (2.11%), Ghana (0.85%), Guinea (0.78%), Liberia (0.69%), Mali (1.50%), Niger (1.30%), Nigeria (0.71%), Togo (2.56%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.76%), Africa (2.04%), Europe (6.95%), North America (3.35%), South America (1.03%), Asia (2.06%) and World (3.31%). However, increase in total cases was lower in Ivory Coast (0.16%), Gambia (0.33%), Guinea-Bissau (0.21%), Senegal (0.28%) and Manor River Union or MRU (0.41%) compared to Sierra Leone.
Europe (3.43%) recorded the highest increase in total deaths compared to Gambia (0.83%), Guinea (1.37%), Guinea-Bissau (2.38%), Nigeria (0.26%), MRU (0.28%), ECOWAS (0.21%), Africa (2.60%), North America (0.93%), South America (0.79%), Asia (2.01%) and the World (1.75%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (1.99%), Burkina Faso (0.68%), Cape Verde (4.23%), Gambia (0.45%), Ghana (0.43%), Guinea (0.89%), Guinea-Bissau (21.11%), Mali (0.53%), Nigeria (0.38%), Senegal (0.47%), Togo (0.93%), MRU (0.41%), ECOWAS (0.83%), Africa (2.79%), Europe (6.49%), North America (2.44%), South America (0.93%), Asia (2.09%) and the World (2.44%). Increase in total recoveries in Ivory Coast (0.19%) and Niger (0.09%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
