The police Criminal Investigations Department has confirmed the arrest of one Mr Pratt over the theft of an iPad belonging to President Ernest Bai Koroma. Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Koroma told Politico that a police inspector attached at the State Lodge brought the complaint “on behalf of His Excellency President Ernest Bai Koroma”. State Lodge sources told Politico that Pratt is the Information Technology specialist to the president. He was reportedly led in handcuffs to State House on Monday as part of the investigations. It is not immediately clear what the content of the iPad is. But our sources say the president looked very livid after he noticed that his Apple product was nowhere to be found. Our investigations into this matter continue. (C) Politico 12/09/13
