NPPA Boss ends quiz competition in Bo

In an effort to improve on their public speaking skills, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) has organised a day’s debate and quiz competition for secondary school pupils in Bo, Southern Sierra Leone.   The competition attracted twenty five (25) pupils in Bo and its environs.

Ibrahim Brima Swarray said he began organizing the event in the Eastern Region wherein schools in Kono, Kailahun and Kenema were captured. He said the motive is to ensure Secondary School pupils are given the fullest potentials in expressing themselves in public speaking and debating.

The CEO said the quiz and debates competitions will be coordinated by his Ibrahim Brima Swarray Foundation in every region across the country.

He spoke of using his foundation as a learning platform so that secondary school pupils will improve on their English Language speaking skills.

He admonished all the pupils present to take their education seriously, which is the gateway to opportunities. 

He assured every teacher and pupil that the competition will be unbiased and transparent so that every competitor and supporter from the targeted schools will be satisfied with the outcomes.

At the end of the competition, certificates were issued to all participating schools. Josephine G. Manyeh from SOS International School won the star prize for the quiz competition whilst Senior Secondary School pupil Ahmed Saccoh of the Government Secondary School Bo won the debate prize.

The Ibrahim Brima Swarray's Foundation continues its quiz and debate competitions in Pujehun on the 27th November and the 11th December,2021 in Moyamba Town respectively.
