The National Football team is heading out to Morocco to join several other countries taking part in two friendly matches each during the FIFA approved international break.
Leone Stars will play against Benin and Somalia on the 14th and 17th October respectively as they prepare for the start of the world cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and Egypt in November next month.
The home-based component of the delegation comprising 9 players and 10 officials is already in Morocco. 16 foreign-based players and 1 official were expected to arrive in camp in Casablanca on Thursday October 12, 2023.
It would appear as if the National Sports Authority and the SLFA have agreed to shelve their differences over the manner in which Amidu Karim and his assistants were appointed to coaching positions following the SLFA decision not to renew John Keister’s contract.
