A matter involving Susan Komba charged for allegedly killing Dennis Komba has been sent to the High Court for trial.
The accused, Susan, 60, was under preliminary investigation before Magistrate Mark Ngegba at the Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown on a count charge of Manslaughter.
The prosecution alleged that on Wednesday 1st December 2021 at Block N-9, Grafton Police Barracks, Freetown, the accused unlawfully killed Dennis.
In his committal on Monday November 21, Magistrate Ngegba said the evidence adduced before the court was sufficient for the accused to stand trial at the High Court, adding that bail for the accused would continue on the existing conditions.
In another development in the same court room, the Magistrate Ngegba withdrew the murder matter involving Mai Dumbuya, Tamba Lebbie, Alfred Kargbo, Ishmael Samura, and Peter Kalokoh for ruling, after their lawyer failed to make a written no case submission.
The magistrate stated that he had deemed the prosecution's case closed and adjourned the matter to Monday 28th November 2022, for ruling.
The prosecution alleged that on Sunday 5th May 2022 at Big Water, Main Peninsula Road, Goderich, Freetown, the five accused persons conspired together with other persons unknown and murdered Memunatu Bangura.
