By Francis H. Murray

Magistrate Hannah Bonnie in Freetown has sent on remand one Berro Kabba, who’s alleged to have deposited human faeces inside a mosque on Wilkinson Road in Freetown.

The accused, a Guinean national, made his first appearance before Magistrate Bonnie on Wednesday 4th November, where he faces a two-count charge of insanitary and entering Sierra Leone without a valid travelling certificate.

The police prosecutors allege that the accused, on Tuesday 13th October, at Masjid Faithir, located at No. 39 Wilkinson Road in Freetown, was found depositing excrement in the said mosque.

It is also alleged that the accused, on a date unknown in August 2020, in Freetown, being a Guinean national, entered Sierra Leone without valid traveling certificate.

Because the accused could not speak English, the matter was adjourned to the 6th November, 2020.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Bonnie said the court will ask for an interpreter to assist in the proceedings.
