Land Vendor and sons missing

Police personnel attached to the Criminal Investigations Department in Kenema are currently investigating one Sheku Balley of 9 M-Line Tokpombu section in Kenema for the disappearance of one Vandi Kallon, a land vendor of 74 Dama road in Kenema and two of his sons.

Police Media officer attached to the community relations department Kenema, Sub-Inspector Brima James Musa briefed journalists on the 14th February, 2023 about a report they received from relatives of the missing persons.

“We are clearly investigating a case of missing people’’ said officer Musa.

He said the allegations state that the suspect Balley who is a farmer came to the residence of Kallon at about 6:30 am, saying that people wanted land and needed him as vendor. He said Vandi agreed to go with his sons named Ibrahim and Dugba.

He said Kallon and his children have still not returned and that Balley is under police custody helping also with the investigations.

 Further details have emerged that the missing man transacts land business on behalf of the Ngombulango family who are reportedly locked in a land dispute with the Hotagua family. A court ruling some time ago went in favour of the Ngombulangos.

Balley remains in police custody as investigations continue.
