Influential traditional rulers in Kono District, have thrown their support behind Popular Football Stakeholder and Businessman Babadi Kamara who is vying for the Presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
They converged at the house of Paramount Chief Saquee where they held discussions with Babadi and openly endorsed his candidature and wished him success in the race after his expressed intention to run for the Presidency of the country’s football governing body.
The district will be represented by three of the SLFA’s 56 delegates at the conference in 18 months’ time. The meeting took place after Bo Rangers had extended their lead in the table by beating Diamond Stars 1 nil.
Sierra Leone Football administration is fraught with so many challenges and a lot of people see Babadi as an individual with the grit and persona to surmount those challenges and establish a well-run football administration at national level that would get Leone Stars in particular competing with the very best at the highest level.
Already Babadi Kamara’s declaration to run has generated much excitement already. He is a formidable contender with considerable support in football circles.
