The Former All Peoples Congress Party Member of Parliament of Constituency 127 Siraji Rollings-Kamara has described the new Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, as a foreman who has the qualities of a good leader.
The former opposition law-maker, a football fan, expressed this kind sentiment on Salone Players Watch (SPW), a popular social media sports forum, early on Saturday 29th June, 2024 following reports on the developmental strides undertaken by Abdulai.
“Do I like ESA? I can't say. Do I believe in him, absolutely, yes? I stopped watching Premier League matches since he was dropped as PLB Chairman. His first and only one year was a banger,” he said.
He added: “What we are seeing at the NSA is a result of a leader having the 3 Hs - Head, Heart, and Hands,”he pointed out.
He added that even though the development initiatives brought by Abdulai is a normal thing that could be done by any well-meaning leader, he said he should be applauded for bringing a difference in the leadership of the agency.
Since he took over recently, Abdulai continues to urge members of his team to maximise their productivity in order to contribute to his dream of making sports attractive to young people in Sierra Leone.
The National Sports Authority is an agency of Government established by an Act of Parliament with the mandate to promote, encourage, develop, and supervise all sporting activities in Sierra Leone and to provide for other related matters.
