By Politico staff writer

The Deputy Director General of the Sierra Leone Correctional Service- Colonel David Ngaujah has told officers at the Kenema Correctional Centre to remain steadfast, devoted, and patient while discharging their duties.

He said he understood all the challenges the officers were facing, saying that should not make them to relent but work hard.

"All those who work hard will be rewarded, as we have already put mechanisms in place which will ensure that. I want us to be at par with the Military and Police for example," he stated.

Col. Ngaujah said various issues have already been tabled to the relevant authorities for necessary action.  He said together with the Director General, they will do ensure that the institution is given due consideration.

He then went on to have a brief meeting in the Eastern Regional Commander's Office with key staff where he listened to  their various concerns. He also went on a conducted tour of both the Kenema Male and Female Correctional Centres.
