Ikubolaje Nicol, the former manager of Skye Bank has appeared at the High Court in Freetown before Justice Ansumana Sesay for the alleged murder of Sinna Kai- Kargbo, formally of the same institution.
The accused, found to have a case to answer following preliminary investigation by magistrate Mark Ngegba was sent for trial in the High Court in March this year. At the High Court on Tuesday, he pleaded not guilty of the conspiracy to murder, murder and perverting the course of justice. His trial was adjourned to Thursday 19th May this year.
In the same court, Justice Sesay remanded Mai Dumbuya, Tamba Lebbie, Alfred Kargbo alias Bad Pee, Ishmiel Samura alias Isho and Peter Kaloko for allegedly conspiring to murder one Memumatu Bangura on 8th May 2022.
Among them, the second accused, Alfred Kargbo was also charged with murdering the same Memumatu Bangura. All accused persons pleaded not guilty. The case was adjourned to 19th May this year with the matter transferred to Justice Adrian Fisher.
Justice Ivan Sesay also sentenced one Foday Koroma to 11 months in prison, a time he had already spent on remand after pleading guilty to a charge of fraudulent conversion. The case file indicated that on the 28th of June 2022 in Freetown, he converted one black Bajaj Boxer BM motorbike with registration number ATR-356. The motorbike, valued at (NLE 19,000) nineteen thousand new Leones was entrusted to him by one Alpha Sesay for commercial purpose.
According to the convict, he gave the motorbike to his friend to operate and his friend disappeared with the property.
