Bo Rangers have clinched the ‘Salone’ premier league trophy for the 2022/2023 season for a second consecutive time, recording 72 points, with four games still remaining.
The club’s triumph came after they defeated Wusum Stars by two goals to nil at the Southern Arena stadium on Sunday 2nd June, 2023.
Football pundits believe that the Bo team is the fifth in the Sierra Leone Premier League history to win the league back-to-back after Mighty Blackpool in 1978, 1979, Real Republicans 1983, 1984, Diamond Stars 2012, 2013. East End Lions is the only team to have won the league three times in a row- 1992, 1993 and 1994.
The ‘Elephants’ from Bo still have to play Freetown City FC before hosting Kamboi Eagles, Ports Authority and Bai Bureh Warriors to wrap up the campaign.
Bo Rangers will again represent Sierra Leone in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League competition next season.
Bo Rangers have gone unbeaten in 30 matches so far.
