The Director- General of the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), Joseph Egbenda Kapuwa narrowly escaped a serious road accident along King Harman Road yesterday afternoon.
A light delivery van lost its balance and crashed on to the front of the Kapuwa’s SUV vehichle he was driving. He was said to have seen the van tilting on its side and rushed out of his vehicle just in time to avoid being trapped, as part of the van’s rear fell on his vehicle’s bonnet. He was unhurt.
It could be recalled that a ghastly road accident occurred last week at Hill Station involving a heavy-duty truck which reportedly lost control and crashed into a school wall, killing two people, one of whom was a commercial biker. Several people were injured, three of them seriously.
