Justice Ivan Ansumana Sesay of the High Court in Freetown on Tuesday 14th July remanded in custody 18 year old Edward Conteh over the death of one Mohamed Lamin Sesay.
The prosecution alleges that Conteh, on the 16th April 2018 in Freetown, unlawfully killed Mohamed Lamin Sesay.
The accused, who was 16 at the time the alleged offence was committed, is facing a one count indictment of manslaughter. He is not represented by a lawyer.
The case was adjourned to the 23rd of July and Justice Sesay ordered that a notice be sent to the Legal Aid Board for a lawyer to be made available to the accused at the next hearing.
Lawyer Jessie Tucker is prosecuting.
